Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using PuttLevel (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License and Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful personal use, subject to these Terms and applicable App Store terms.

You may use the App to:

• Read cross-slope, along-slope, total slope, and downhill direction using your iPhone's motion sensor
• Calibrate for the camera-bump and case offset using two opposite-direction readings
• Use Relative Zero to compare surfaces without replacing device calibration
• Hold a stable measurement and, with Pro access, save a putt result and view local practice summaries

You may not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer, compromise, resell, circumvent paid-feature controls, or use the App for an unlawful purpose except where a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

3. Free and Pro Features

3.1 Free features

• Two-axis and total-slope measurement
• Downhill-direction visualization
• Camera-bump calibration
• Relative Zero and HOLD
• Supported interface languages

3.2 PuttLevel Pro

PuttLevel Pro currently unlocks:

• Saving a held measurement with the selected putt outcome on the device
• Local practice summaries, trends, distributions, and recent records

The current release does not provide an aim-point or cup-conversion result. Features not shown in the submitted App are not promised as part of the current purchase.

4. In-App Purchase

• PuttLevel Pro is offered as a one-time, non-consumable lifetime purchase, not a subscription.
• The App displays the localized price returned by Apple's StoreKit. Prices may differ by country or region and may change.
• Apple processes payment. RevenueCat supports receipt validation, entitlement management, restoration, fraud prevention, and purchase analytics.
• Eligible access can be restored with the same Apple account by using Restore Purchase.
• Refund requests and payment disputes are handled by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

5. Your Measurements and Practice Records

You retain control of the calibration, settings, held measurements, and practice records created through the App. These items are stored locally. You can delete practice records in the App, and removing the App deletes its local data from that device. You are responsible for any desired device backup and for decisions made using the readings.

6. Privacy and Third-Party Services

Motion samples, slope readings, calibration, and practice records are processed on the device and are not uploaded by the App. No account is required. Purchase information is processed by Apple and RevenueCat as described in the Privacy Policy.

The App relies on iOS motion sensors, Apple App Store and StoreKit services, and RevenueCat. Availability and use of those services may be governed by their own terms and policies.

7. Device Sensor and Calibration

Live measurement requires a supported physical iPhone and access to its motion sensor. A simulator or unavailable sensor cannot provide a live reading. Calibration compensates for the tested device and case orientation but does not remove every source of hardware, placement, surface, or environmental error. Recalibrate after changing the case or when readings appear inconsistent.

• Readings depend on the iPhone sensor, case, calibration, placement, stability, and surface condition.
• Consumer-device readings may differ from a calibrated professional instrument.
• Displayed direction describes measured surface fall and is not a promise of ball path or outcome.
• Do not rely on the App where inaccurate information could cause injury, property damage, rule violations, or other material harm.

10. Data Loss

Calibration, settings, and practice records may be lost if you delete the data or uninstall the App. A Pro purchase may be restorable, but restoration does not restore deleted local practice records. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss of local data.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, data preservation, or measurement accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the App, device or service failure, lost local data, inaccurate readings, or decisions based on readings. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the App's in-app purchase, subject to non-waivable consumer law.

13. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms when the App, law, or service providers change. We will revise the date above and publish the updated Terms. Material changes may also be described in the App or release notes. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security, or a material violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country or region.
