1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using VaultX ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

VaultX is a local password manager for securely storing passwords, account credentials, and sensitive information. Key features include:

• AES-256 encrypted local password storage
• Biometric unlock via Face ID and Touch ID
• iOS AutoFill integration for apps and browsers
• Password health check and breach detection
• Decoy Mode for coercion scenarios (Premium)
• SOS Emergency Recovery via secret sharing (Premium)
• Optional iCloud sync across devices (Premium)

3. Account & Data

3.1 No Account Required

VaultX does not require account creation. No email address, phone number, or personal information registration is needed.

3.2 Local Data Storage

All passwords and credentials are encrypted with AES-256 and stored exclusively on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers.

4. Free vs. Premium Features

4.1 Free Features

• Store up to 5 password entries
• Basic password generator
• Biometric unlock
• AutoFill integration

4.2 Premium Features (One-Time Purchase)

• Unlimited password entries
• Password health check & breach detection
• Decoy Mode — a separate fake vault for coercion scenarios
• SOS Emergency Recovery — split your master password into recovery shares
• iCloud sync across all your devices
• All future Premium features included

5. In-App Purchase Terms

5.1 Purchase Option

• VaultX Premium — Lifetime: A one-time payment for permanent Premium access

Pricing may vary by region and is subject to change without notice.

5.2 Payment Terms

• This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription
• Premium access is permanent and does not expire
• There is no automatic renewal or recurring charge
• The purchase is tied to your Apple ID
• You may restore your purchase on any device using the same Apple ID

5.3 Refund Policy

• All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's refund policy
• To request a refund, contact Apple Support at https://support.apple.com
• We are unable to process refunds directly

6. User Responsibilities

6.1 Master Password

You are solely responsible for choosing and remembering your master password. We have no ability to recover it. Use the SOS Emergency Recovery feature to protect yourself against loss.

6.2 User-Entered Data

All passwords, credentials, and notes entered into VaultX are your responsibility. We are not liable for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of data you store in the app.

6.3 Decoy Mode

Decoy Mode is provided as a personal security tool. You are responsible for how you configure and use this feature. We make no guarantees about its effectiveness in any specific scenario.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to hack the app
• Resell or sublicense the app or its features
• Attempt to circumvent Premium feature restrictions
• Enter another person's credentials without their consent
• Use the app to facilitate unauthorized access to third-party accounts

8. Intellectual Property

• The VaultX name, logo, design, and code are the property of Prizm
• Data and passwords you enter remain your own
• You may not use VaultX branding without written permission

9. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes:

• What information is collected and how it is used
• Third-party service integrations
• Your rights regarding your data

10. Third-Party Services

VaultX uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store: App distribution and payment processing
• RevenueCat: In-app purchase management
• Have I Been Pwned (HIBP): Password breach detection via k-anonymity

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

VaultX is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Complete preservation of stored data
• Absolute protection against unauthorized access

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are not liable for data loss resulting from app deletion, device reset, or forgotten master password
• We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from a compromised device or weak master password
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Prizm harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the app
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of applicable laws
• Data or credentials you store or manage using the app

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Termination

Access to the app may be restricted if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Use the app for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to compromise the app's security

You may terminate your use of the app at any time by deleting it. All local data will be permanently removed upon deletion.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.
