1. Information We Do NOT Collect

RecordinGo is built to respect your privacy. We explicitly DO NOT collect:

• 🚫 Your audio recordings
• 🚫 Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• 🚫 Location data
• 🚫 Contacts or address book
• 🚫 Photos or media from your device
• 🚫 Usage analytics or behavior tracking
• 🚫 Device identifiers for tracking
• 🚫 Any other personally identifiable information

2. Data Storage

2.1 Local Storage Only

All your recordings are stored exclusively on your iPhone:

• App Group Container: Recordings are saved in a shared container accessible to the app and widgets
• SwiftData Database: Recording metadata (title, date, duration) is stored in a local database
• No Cloud Sync: We do NOT sync your recordings to iCloud or any other cloud service
• Your Control: You have full control to delete recordings at any time

2.2 Data Retention

• Recordings remain on your device until you manually delete them
• Trash items are automatically deleted after 30 days
• If you uninstall the app, all recordings are permanently deleted

3. Permissions We Request

RecordinGo requires the following iOS permissions to function:

Note: You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings → RecordinGo at any time.

4. In-App Purchases

RecordinGo offers in-app purchases (Pro, FX Pack, Bundle). Here's what we know:

4.1 Purchase Data

• Handled by Apple: All payment processing is done by Apple through the App Store
• What We Store Locally: Only purchase status (e.g., "user has Pro") stored in UserDefaults
• What We Don't See: We NEVER see your credit card, payment method, or billing address
• Purchase Verification: Verified through Apple's StoreKit framework locally on your device

4.2 Receipt Validation

• Purchase receipts are validated locally on your device
• No receipt data is sent to external servers
• Apple handles all transaction records according to their privacy policy

5. Face ID / Touch ID

RecordinGo offers optional app lock using Face ID or Touch ID:

• Biometric Data: We do NOT store or access your biometric data
• iOS Handles Authentication: All biometric authentication is handled by iOS system services
• Passcode Fallback: If you set a passcode, it is stored locally using iOS Keychain (encrypted)
• Your Control: You can disable app lock at any time in Settings

6. Third-Party Services

RecordinGo integrates with Apple services only:

6.1 Apple App Store & StoreKit

• Purpose: In-app purchase processing and management
• Data Shared: Purchase transactions (handled by Apple)
• Privacy Policy: Apple Privacy Policy

6.2 No Third-Party Analytics

• We do NOT use Google Analytics, Firebase, or any analytics services
• We do NOT use advertising SDKs
• We do NOT use crash reporting services that collect user data

7. Children's Privacy

RecordinGo is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages:

• We do NOT knowingly collect personal information from children
• No account creation required
• No online features or social sharing within the app
• Complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)

8. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your data:

• Local Encryption: iOS automatically encrypts data on devices with passcode/biometric lock
• App Lock: Optional Face ID/Touch ID protection for app access
• No Network Transfer: Recordings never leave your device through our app
• Secure Storage: Uses iOS App Group sandboxing for data isolation

9. Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

9.1 Access and Deletion

• View All Data: All recordings are visible in the app
• Delete Data: Delete individual recordings or all recordings at once
• Export Data: Export recordings to share or backup externally
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the app deletes all local data permanently

9.2 Permission Management

• Revoke microphone access in iOS Settings (app will not function)
• Disable notifications in iOS Settings
• Disable app lock in RecordinGo Settings

10. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

10.1 When We Might Share Data

We may only disclose information if required by law:

• To comply with legal obligations (e.g., court order, subpoena)
• To protect our rights, property, or safety
• To prevent fraud or illegal activity

Note: Since we don't collect user data, there is practically nothing to share.

11. International Users

RecordinGo is available worldwide:

• All data processing occurs locally on your device
• No data is transferred across borders
• Complies with GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and other privacy regulations

12. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top
• Posting the new policy at this URL
• In-app notification for material changes

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
