3.1 Local Device Storage
QuietLog stores app data locally on your device. This may include:
- Noise session history and report summaries
- Decibel timeline samples and detected noise events
- Raw audio recordings and event clips created inside the app
- Report names, location labels, threshold values, and session duration settings
- Free report state, Pro access state, and purchase restoration cache used for app functionality
3.2 Microphone and Background Audio
QuietLog uses the microphone when you start a noise recording session. If background audio is enabled by the system, QuietLog may continue recording while the app is not visible so the active session can continue. This is used only for the recording session you start.
3.3 Reports, Sharing, and Export
QuietLog may let you view, play, share, or export reports and audio. When you choose to share or export a report or recording, that content leaves the app through the destination you select, such as Messages, Mail, Files, or another app. Those destinations are governed by their own privacy practices.
3.4 Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app
- Deleting a report removes the report data controlled by QuietLog from local app storage
