By downloading, installing, or using OnceJournal ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use OnceJournal for personal purposes, subject to these Terms.

You May:

• Create and manage journal entries
• Add photos, drawings, and tags to your entries
• Track your moods and emotions
• Write letters to your future self (Future Letters)
• View your writing statistics and patterns
• Export your journal as PDF
• Sync your data across devices using iCloud
• Backup and restore your data

You May NOT:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App for illegal purposes
• Attempt to hack or compromise the App's security
• Resell the App or its features
• Use automated systems to access the App
• Circumvent premium feature restrictions

3. Free vs. Premium Features

3.1 Free Features

The free version of OnceJournal includes:

• Unlimited journal entries
• Mood tracking with emoji
• Daily writing prompts
• Tags for organization
• Entry Threads - see related memories together
• Future Letters - write to your future self
• Calendar and On This Day views
• Favorites to mark special entries
• Basic statistics and writing insights
• Photos (up to 3 per entry)
• 1 Journal
• Basic Analog Mode fonts
• Apple Pencil drawing support
• Dark mode support
• 7 languages supported

3.2 Premium Features (One-Time Purchase)

Premium users get:

• Unlimited photos (up to 50 per entry)
• Multiple journals - organize by theme or mood
• Premium Analog Mode fonts and paper textures
• PDF Export - turn your journal into a beautiful book
• All future premium features included

4. In-App Purchase Terms

4.1 Purchase Option

• Premium Lifetime: One-time purchase for permanent Premium access

4.2 Purchase Terms

• This is a one-time purchase, NOT a subscription
• Lifetime purchase is permanent and does not expire
• No automatic renewals or recurring charges
• Purchases are tied to your Apple ID
• You can restore purchases on other devices using the same Apple ID
• Premium access works on all your devices (iPhone and iPad) with the same Apple ID

4.3 Refund Policy

• All purchases are processed by Apple and are final
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies
• To request a refund, contact Apple Support: https://support.apple.com
• We cannot process refunds directly

5. Your Content and Data

5.1 Ownership of Data

You retain full ownership of all content you create using OnceJournal, including:

• Journal entries and text
• Photos and images
• Drawings created with Apple Pencil
• Tags and organization
• Future Letters
• Exported PDF files

We do NOT claim any rights to your content. Your journal is private and belongs entirely to you.

5.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you create in OnceJournal. While your journal is private, you agree not to use the App to store:

• Illegal content
• Content that violates others' rights
• Malicious files or code

6. Privacy and Data Storage

OnceJournal is designed with privacy as a priority:

• Local Storage: All data is stored locally on your device
• iCloud Sync: Optional sync through your personal iCloud account
• No Third-Party Servers: We do NOT upload your journal entries to our servers
• No Account Required: The app does not require login or account creation
• No Data Collection: We do not read, access, or collect your journal content
• Your Control: You can delete all data at any time

7. Permissions

OnceJournal may request the following permissions:

• Photo Library: To add photos to your journal entries
• Camera: To take photos directly within the app
• Notifications: To send optional reminders to write
• iCloud: For data sync across your devices

All permissions are optional. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings at any time. The app functions without granting these permissions, though some features may be limited.

You agree NOT to use OnceJournal for:

• Any illegal activities or purposes
• Storing illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Attempting to circumvent Premium feature restrictions
• Interfering with the App's functionality
• Any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations

10. Third-Party Services

OnceJournal integrates with:

• Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases
• Apple StoreKit: For purchase management and verification
• Apple iCloud: For optional data sync across your devices
• Apple PencilKit: For drawing functionality

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

OnceJournal is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Data preservation or backup

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases (if any)
• We are not responsible for loss of journal entries or data
• We are not responsible for device malfunction or iOS system errors
• We are not responsible for iCloud sync failures

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Posting the new Terms at this URL
• In-app notification for significant changes

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to OnceJournal if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the App or its features
• Use the App for illegal purposes

You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the App. Your local data will be deleted upon uninstallation unless backed up.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Korea.
