Later is designed as a private place to save screenshots, links, and short notes for later.
- No account sign-up is required
- No advertising SDKs are used
- No third-party analytics SDKs are used
- Your saved links, notes, collections, and screenshot organization data are stored locally on your device
- Photo Library access is used only to show, search, and organize screenshots inside the app
- OCR and screenshot categorization are processed on-device
About Photos and Screenshots
Later may request access to your Photo Library so you can view and organize screenshots.
- Later does not upload your screenshots to our servers
- Screenshot search and text recognition are performed on your device
- Collections and category assignments are stored locally
- You can revoke Photo Library permission at any time in iOS Settings
1. Information We Collect
Later does not require you to create an account. The app is built around local storage. Depending on how you use the app, the following information may be created or stored on your

2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We explicitly do not collect:
- ✕ Name, email address, or phone number
- ✕ Precise location data
- ✕ Contacts or address book
- ✕ Health or fitness data
- ✕ Advertising identifiers for tracking
- ✕ Cross-app tracking data
- ✕ Analytics profiles or behavioral advertising data
- ✕ Your screenshots on our servers
3. Data Storage
3.1 Local Device Storage
Later stores your saved items locally on your device. This may include:
- Saved URLs
- Saved text notes
- Saved image items that you intentionally share into the app
- Favorite status
- Collections and category assignments
- Cached OCR text used for local search
- App settings and Pro access state
3.2 Photo Library Access
Later uses Photo Library access to display and search screenshots. The app reads screenshots from your local Photo Library only after you grant permission. Your photos and
screenshots are not uploaded to our servers.
3.3 Share Extension Storage
When you use the iOS Share Sheet to save a link, text, or image to Later, the share extension temporarily passes that item to the main app using local app storage. This is used
only to complete the save action.
3.4 Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app
- Deleting the app may remove locally stored Later data from your device
- Purchase records are handled by Apple and RevenueCat so purchases can be restored

5. How Your Data Is Used
Your data is used only to provide the app's core functionality:
- Saved links: To help you reopen and search webpages later
- Notes and text items: To help you store quick references
- Screenshots: To display, search, and organize screenshots inside the app
- OCR text: To let you search text found in screenshots
- Collections: To group saved items and screenshots by purpose
- Purchase information: To unlock or restore Later Pro
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.
6. Third-Party Services
6.1 Apple App Store / In-App Purchase
- Purpose: Process payments for Later Pro
- Data Processed: Purchase transaction information handled by Apple
- Privacy Policy: Apple Privacy Policy
6.2 RevenueCat
- Purpose: Manage Later Pro purchase status, entitlements, and purchase restoration
- Data Processed: App-generated user identifier, product identifier, purchase receipt, entitlement status, and related purchase metadata

6.3 Apple Vision / On-Device Text Recognition
- Purpose: Recognize text inside screenshots for local search
- Data Processed: Screenshot image data on your device
- Upload: Later does not upload screenshots to our servers for OCR
6.4 Websites You Save
When you save a link, Later may request basic webpage metadata such as the page title, site name, or preview information. This request is made to the website you saved. The website
may receive normal network information such as your IP address, according to that website's own privacy practices.
6.5 No Third-Party Analytics or Ads
- We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Meta SDK, or advertising SDKs
- We do not sell advertising inside the app
- We do not track you across apps or websites
7. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data:
- Local-first design: Saved content and screenshot organization data are stored on your device
- iOS sandboxing: App data is protected by iOS app sandboxing
- Secure purchases: Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store
- No ad tracking: Later does not integrate advertising trackers
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, but Later is designed to minimize unnecessary data exposure.
8. Children's Privacy
Later is intended as a general productivity utility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

- No social features are provided
- No public user profiles are created
- No user-to-user messaging is provided
9. Your Rights and Choices
9.1 Access and Control
- View Data: Your saved links, notes, screenshots, and collections are visible inside the app
- Delete Data: You can delete saved items and collections inside the app
- Photo Permission: You can revoke Photo Library access in iOS Settings
- Purchases: You can restore purchases using the Restore Purchase button
9.2 Data Deletion
- Deleting saved items in the app removes them from Later's local storage
- Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored app data
- Purchase history remains managed by Apple and RevenueCat for purchase restoration and fraud prevention
10. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We may disclose information only if required by law or necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety.
11. International Users
Later may be used worldwide. Purchase processing and entitlement management may involve Apple and RevenueCat infrastructure, which may process data in accordance with their own
privacy policies and applicable laws.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Posting the updated policy at this URL
Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
