1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Hotline ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Hotline for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You May:

• Monitor your AI agents and trading bots via webhook integration
• Receive push notifications when your bots go silent or trigger alerts
• Use the Kill Switch to send emergency stop commands to your bots
• View real-time alert logs within the app
• Use the provided API to integrate with any bot or automated process

You May NOT:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App for illegal purposes
• Attempt to hack or compromise the App's security or backend infrastructure
• Resell the App or its features
• Abuse the webhook API (e.g., excessive requests, spamming)
• Use the App to monitor systems you do not own or have authorization to manage

3. Description of Service

Hotline is a Dead Man's Switch and monitoring tool for AI agents and crypto trading bots. The App provides:

• Webhook API: Your bot sends periodic heartbeat pings to Hotline
• Dead Man's Switch: Automatic detection when your bot stops responding
• Push Notifications: Real-time alerts via Apple Push Notification service (APNs)
• Kill Switch: One-tap emergency shutdown command sent to your bot
• Alert Logs: History of info, warning, critical, and kill events

4. Account and Authentication

Hotline uses anonymous authentication:

• No email, password, or personal information is required
• A random anonymous session is created when you first use the App
• Your session is tied to your device — if you uninstall the App, your session is lost
• You are responsible for keeping your API key secure

5. API Usage

5.1 Fair Use

• The webhook API is intended for bot monitoring and heartbeat pings
• Excessive or abusive API usage may result in rate limiting or suspension
• The API should not be used to send spam or irrelevant notifications

6. Kill Switch

The Kill Switch feature sends a stop command to your bot's configured endpoint:

• You are solely responsible for configuring the correct bot stop URL
• We are not responsible for the behavior of your bot after receiving a kill command
• The Kill Switch is a best-effort feature — delivery depends on your bot's availability and network conditions
• We do not guarantee that the kill command will successfully stop your bot

7. Push Notifications

• Push notifications are delivered via Apple Push Notification service (APNs)
• Delivery depends on network conditions, iOS settings, and device state
• We do not guarantee real-time or 100% delivery of notifications
• Critical Alerts (if enabled) may bypass Do Not Disturb mode
• You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings

8. Ownership of Data

You retain full ownership of all data associated with your account, including:

• Bot alert logs and messages
• Device configuration and settings
• API keys generated for your account

We do NOT claim any rights to your data. You may request deletion at any time.

9. Privacy and Data Storage

Hotline collects minimal data to function:

• Anonymous User ID: A random UUID — not linked to your identity
• Device Push Token: Used solely to deliver push notifications
• Bot Logs: Alert messages sent by your bot through the webhook API
• No Personal Information: We do not collect name, email, or phone number

10. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to use Hotline for:

• Any illegal activities or purposes
• Monitoring systems you do not own or have permission to manage
• Sending malicious commands via the Kill Switch
• Abusing the webhook API with excessive or spam requests
• Interfering with the App's functionality or backend services
• Any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations

11. Third-Party Services

Hotline integrates with the following services:

• Supabase: Backend database, authentication, and serverless functions
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs): Push notification delivery

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hotline is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Timely delivery of push notifications
• Successful execution of Kill Switch commands
• Detection of all bot failures or silent periods

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are NOT liable for any financial losses related to bot monitoring
• We are not responsible for missed notifications or failed kill commands
• We are not responsible for loss of data
• We are not responsible for device malfunction or iOS system errors
• Our total liability shall not exceed USD $10

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Posting the new Terms at this URL

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Hotline if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the App, API, or its features
• Use the App for illegal purposes

You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the App.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Korea.
