1. Information We Collect

Focused does not require you to create an account. The app is built around local storage. Depending on how you use the app, the following information may be created or stored on your device:

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do not collect:

3. Data Storage

3.1 Local Device Storage

Focused stores your study data locally on your device. This may include:

• Study goals and exam D-Day data
• Subjects, tasks, and daily plans
• Focus sessions and study history
• Study statistics and progress summaries
• Wrong-answer review items and attached images
• Voice recordings and transcripts created inside the app
• Theme, notification, widget, and app settings
• Pro access state cached for app functionality

3.2 App Group Storage for Widgets

Focused may use local App Group storage to share limited study summary data with its widgets and Live Activity components. This may include D-Day, today's study time, next task, streak, and progress display data.

3.3 Photo Library Access

Focused uses Photo Library access only when needed for features such as selecting wrong-answer images or saving share cards. Images are not uploaded to our servers.

3.4 Camera, Microphone, and Speech Recognition

Focused may use the Camera, Microphone, and Speech Recognition permissions when you choose to capture study images, record audio, or convert speech to text. Recordings and transcripts are stored locally unless you delete the app or remove them.

3.5 Data Retention

• Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app
• Deleting the app may remove locally stored Focused data from your device
• Purchase records are handled by Apple and RevenueCat so purchases can be restored

Your data is used only to provide the app's core functionality:

• Subjects and tasks: To organize study priorities and daily work
• Focus sessions: To record study time and update statistics
• Wrong-answer items: To schedule review reminders and track mistake recovery
• Photos and images: To attach images to review notes or save share cards when you choose
• Recordings and transcripts: To help create study notes from speech when you choose
• Widget and Live Activity data: To show quick progress and timer status on supported system surfaces
• Purchase information: To unlock or restore Focused Pro

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

6. Third-Party Services

6.1 Apple App Store / In-App Purchase

• Purpose: Process payments for Focused Pro
• Data Processed: Purchase transaction information handled by Apple
• Privacy Policy: Apple Privacy Policy

6.2 RevenueCat

• Purpose: Manage Focused Pro purchase status, entitlements, and purchase restoration
• Data Processed: App-generated user identifier, product identifier, purchase receipt, entitlement status, and related purchase metadata
• Privacy Policy: RevenueCat Privacy Policy

6.3 Apple System Services

• Camera and Photo Library: Used for image capture, image selection, and saving selected exports
• Speech Recognition and Microphone: Used for recording and transcription features when enabled
• WidgetKit and ActivityKit: Used for widgets, Lock Screen, and Live Activity features where supported
• Notifications: Used for study reminders and timer-related alerts where enabled

6.4 No Third-Party Analytics or Ads

• We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Meta SDK, or advertising SDKs
• We do not sell advertising inside the app
• We do not track you across apps or websites

7. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data:

• Local-first design: Study data is stored on your device
• iOS sandboxing: App data is protected by iOS app sandboxing
• Secure purchases: Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store
• No ad tracking: Focused does not integrate advertising trackers

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, but Focused is designed to minimize unnecessary data exposure.

8. Children's Privacy

Focused is intended as a study and productivity utility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

• No account registration is required
• No social features are provided
• No public user profiles are created
• No user-to-user messaging is provided

9. Your Rights and Choices

9.1 Access and Control

• View Data: Your study plans, subjects, tasks, sessions, statistics, and wrong-answer items are visible inside the app
• Delete Data: You can delete or edit supported data inside the app
• Permissions: You can revoke Camera, Photo Library, Microphone, Speech Recognition, and Notification permissions in iOS Settings
• Purchases: You can restore purchases using the Restore Purchases button

9.2 Data Deletion

• Deleting study items in the app removes them from Focused's local storage where supported
• Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored app data
• Purchase history remains managed by Apple and RevenueCat for purchase restoration and fraud prevention

10. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

We may disclose information only if required by law or necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety.

11. International Users

Focused may be used in multiple countries and regions. Purchase processing and entitlement management may involve Apple and RevenueCat infrastructure, which may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Posting the updated policy at this URL

Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
