CuesNow is built to respect your privacy. We explicitly DO NOT collect:

• 🚫 Photos or media from your device

• 🚫 Voice recordings from voice input
• 🚫 Any other personally identifiable information

2. Data Storage

2.1 Local Storage (Default)

All your data is stored exclusively on your iPhone by default:

• App Container: Tasks, projects, tags, and places are saved locally on your device
• SwiftData Database: Data is stored in a local database
• Geofence Data: Location triggers are managed by iOS Core Location locally
• Your Control: You have full control to delete data at any time

2.2 iCloud Sync (Optional - Pro)

Pro users can optionally enable iCloud sync:

• Apple iCloud: Data syncs through your personal iCloud account
• Encrypted: All iCloud data is encrypted by Apple
• Your Control: You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings
• We Cannot Access: We have no access to your iCloud data

2.3 Data Retention

• Data remains on your device until you manually delete it
• If you uninstall the app without iCloud sync, all data is permanently deleted
• iCloud data persists until you delete it from your iCloud account

3. Permissions We Request

CuesNow may request the following iOS permissions to function:

4. Location Services - Detailed Explanation

Since CuesNow's core feature involves location-based reminders, here's exactly how we handle location:

4.1 How Location Works

• Geofencing: We use iOS geofencing to detect when you enter saved places
• On-Device Processing: All location processing happens on your iPhone via Apple's Core Location
• No Server Communication: Your location is NEVER sent to our servers or any third party
• No Location History: We do not store where you have been

4.2 Location Permission Options

• While Using: Location only accessed when app is open
• Always: Required for arrival notifications when app is closed (recommended)
• Never: App works without location, but arrival reminders are disabled

4.3 Your Control

• Disable location access anytime in iOS Settings
• Delete saved places to remove geofences
• Use the app without location for time-based reminders only

5. Voice Input (Pro Feature)

CuesNow Pro offers voice input for adding tasks:

• On-Device Processing: Voice recognition is handled by Apple's Speech framework
• No Recording Storage: We do not record or store your voice
• Temporary Processing: Audio is processed in real-time and immediately discarded
• Your Control: Microphone is only active when you tap the voice button

6. In-App Purchases

CuesNow offers in-app purchases for Pro features. Here's what we know:

6.1 Purchase Data

• Handled by Apple: All payment processing is done by Apple through the App Store
• What We Store Locally: Only purchase status (e.g., "user has Pro") stored locally
• What We Don't See: We NEVER see your credit card, payment method, or billing address
• Purchase Verification: Verified through Apple's StoreKit framework locally on your device

6.2 Subscription Options

• Monthly subscription
• Yearly subscription
• Lifetime purchase (one-time)

6.3 Receipt Validation

• Purchase receipts are validated locally on your device
• No receipt data is sent to external servers
• Apple handles all transaction records according to their privacy policy

7. Third-Party Services

CuesNow integrates with Apple services only:

7.1 Apple App Store & StoreKit

• Purpose: In-app purchase processing and management
• Data Shared: Purchase transactions (handled by Apple)
• Privacy Policy: Apple Privacy Policy

7.2 Apple iCloud (Optional)

• Purpose: Cross-device sync for Pro users
• Data Shared: Your tasks and places (encrypted, stored in your iCloud)

• We do NOT use Google Analytics, Firebase, or any analytics services

• We do NOT use crash reporting services that collect user data

8. Children's Privacy

CuesNow is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages:

• We do NOT knowingly collect personal information from children
• No account creation required
• No online features or social sharing within the app
• Complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)

9. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your data:

• Local Encryption: iOS automatically encrypts data on devices with passcode/biometric lock
• iCloud Encryption: All iCloud data is encrypted by Apple
• No Network Transfer: Data never leaves your device through our app (except optional iCloud)
• Secure Storage: Uses iOS sandboxing for data isolation

10. Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

• View All Data: All tasks, projects, and places are visible in the app
• Delete Data: Delete individual items or all data at once
